The Breast Screening Office

The Breast Screening Office is based within the Breast Unit at Peterborough City Hospital. Here we provide clerical and administrative support to the Breast Consultant Radiologists, Radiographers and Advanced Practitioners. 

We provide a first point of contact for breast screening clients, GP practices, other screening units, other internal departments, and external agencies. We respond to queries, and provide non-clinical advice and support with regard to the National Breast Screening Programme and breast imaging queries. 

The Breast Screening Office is responsible for arranging appointments for the Breast Screening Programme service users, and can assist with making/changing appointments. The Breast Screening Office is responsible for co-ordination of on-site and mobile screening units. 

The Breast Screening Office also provide reception cover for the Peterborough on-site Breast Screening Service, welcoming users to the unit and dealing with face-to-face queries. 

The Breast Screening Team work closely with the secretarial team and wider Breast Unit, Diagnostic Imaging, PACS Team, Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), and IT Services.
