Medicine for older people

Medicine for older people

We treat older patients who are admitted with acute medical problems, particularly people who are frail.

We run clinics for falls, Parkinson’s disease, and general medical problems in older people.

We have two general medical wards that cater for older people. These are wards (A9 and B14).

If your friend or relative has been admitted to one of our medicine for the elderly wards, please contact the ward direct on.

We have a sub-acute medical and rehabilitation ward at Stamford Hospital (John Van Geest ward ) and the Frail Elderly Unit.
