A group of local motorcyclists made an eggstra special visit to Peterborough City Hospital at the weekend with 70 Easter eggs.
The bikers from the Rutland Chapter Harley Owners Group (HOG) arrived at Peterborough City Hospital’s Amazon Ward, on Sunday 25 March weighed down with the donated Easter eggs for the young patients who are in hospital.
The bikers arrived in force, with 80 bikers riding a loop around the hospital site, before stopping for refreshments.
Zoe Wilkinson, Play Specialist Team Leader, said: “We are so grateful to the bikers for their generosity. We always look forward to their visit every year and the children really enjoy the special visit.
“For the patients on the ward, the gifts and the visit really lifts their spirits. It can be difficult for some children if they are in hospital over Easter but we try and make it as exciting and fun as we can and we are really grateful to people such as the bikers for their support.”
