Nichola Guy, Learning Centre Manager

"I’ve worked within Learning & Development since 2004 looking after mandatory training for staff. As Learning Centre Manager for Hinchingbrooke.

I started at Hinchingbrooke in 1991 after gaining my Medical Secretary Diploma.  I’ve worked as a Medical Secretary within the Radiology Department and as a Personal Assistant within the then Surgical Division before moving into Learning & Development.

I love supporting our staff across the Trust with their mandatory training. Training isn’t something staff think about every day, however, we do!  Therefore, if I can help staff schedule onto the correct training, or complete their eLearning it makes the process a lot easier for them.

I am incredibly proud to work with a team of extremely professional administrators.  I wholeheartedly believe we have an impact on patient care, be it indirectly - supporting our medical, clinical and non-clinical colleagues with their training.  I also feel privileged to welcome our new starters to the Trust.  Everyone needs a friendly face on their first day in a new job and I get to offer that."
