Announcement of Covid-19 related deaths

Total number of deaths at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust since 24 March 2020:

Caroline Walker, Chief Executive, for North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, said: “I can confirm that sadly, 947 patients being cared for in our Trust have passed away since we began reporting Covid-19-related deaths. There have been 290 at Hinchingbrooke Hospital and 657 at Peterborough City Hospital. All patients were aged 18 to 106 years old and the majority of those had pre-existing health conditions. 

"Our thoughts and condolences remain with the patients' families and loved ones at this difficult time."

  •  The Trust, DHSC, NHS England and NHS Improvement will not be giving out any further information on these patients.

  • The media are asked to respect the wishes of the families, and the interests of staff at the hospital to avoid any disruption to operational services.
