We are currently looking for reliable volunteers who are able to commit to regular times to become integral, highly valued members of our wards by lending a helping hand during meal times.
You will need to have excellent communication skills, be caring, approachable and have the ability to work as part of the team to provide the highest possible level of attention to help patients with their meals.
Volunteers have a unique role at the Trust and make a real difference to the patients experience and enable staff to focus on ward priorities. Your support will brighten up a patient’s day and provide a friendly face to talk to.
If you can commit regularly any day of the week including weekends and can commit to the times below we would welcome your support:
How to apply:
- Breakfast: 7.30am – 9.30am
- Lunch: 11.30am-1.30pm
- Dinner: 4.00pm – 6.00pm
There are opportunities at Peterborough City Hospital and Stamford & Rutland Hospital.

Volunteers will need to complete a DBS and Occupational Health declaration as part of the recruitment process, full training will be provided.
All successful applicants will receive a volunteer induction, relevant training and ongoing support in the role. You will be issued with a volunteer badge/uniform, parking permit and be able to claim travel expenses within a 20 mile radius of the Hospital.
