Critical Care raises funds for Patient Rehabilitation

Staff in the Critical Care Unit at Peterborough City Hospital are raising funds for their department by holding a Christmas raffle.

The money raised will go towards buying seven new televisions as part of patient rehabilitation. Those who have been sedated for a substational amount of time often benefit from the stimulation that a television provides.

So far nearly £100 has been raised for Critical Care.

There are currently three televisions already on the unit but the team would like something more updated and sturdy for the patients.

The staff created a committee group back in October to specifically to raise money for the CCU. The group is made up of consultants, physiotherapists, nurses and doctors.

To buy a raffle ticket you can visit the main atrium or go to the Critical Care Unit and ask a member of staff. Tickets are priced at £1 a strip.

The winners will be drawn 20 December on the CCU, to make sure you don’t miss out buy your ticket now.
