Emergency Care in the spotlight at Trust Members’ Meeting

Ever wondered what it is like to work in a busy emergency department – especially when there are lots of people needing urgent treatment all at the same time?

You can find out how the Emergency Care team at Hinchingbrooke Hospital work in a meeting  taking place at Hinchingbrooke Hospital later this month.

In addition, we will be throwing the spotlight on the process for discharging patients who are fit to leave hospital.

Hinchingbrooke Hospital Emergency Department Consultant , Dr Pallav Bhatnagar will present an update on recent improvements made within emergency care and how the public can assist their local hospitals this winter by seeking the appropriate treatment for their needs.

Mary Donaldson, Assistant General Manager for Capacity and Flow, will also be discussing the patient discharge process and how patients and their relatives/carers can support the hospital when it is time to leave our care.

The meeting is free to attend and open to members of the North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust as well as members of the public. It is being staged in the Partnership Suite , in theEducation Centre at Hinchingbrooke Hospital on Thursday 27 September between 5.45pm and 7.30pm.
