The NHS Foundation Trust that runs Hinchingbrooke Hospital is staging a meeting for its members, and members of the public, to give the latest update on the hospital’s major redevelopment programme.

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust will hold the meeting virtually on Tuesday 30 November 2021 at 6pm. The meeting is being broadcast via MS Teams.

A presentation by Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer, Arshiya Khan, will update attendees on the progress made in 2021 to gain approval for large-scale improvement plans on the Hinchingbrooke site which are planned to start taking shape in 2022.

Arshiya said: “Regular visitors to Hinchingbrooke will have noticed that there is lots going on right now. This is due to preliminary working taking place to create a new, purpose-built operating theatre block to replace our current theatres which are coming to the end of their operational life. We expect the building work to begin in the coming months and I am looking forward to updating attendees on how this will make a real difference to our patients' care.

“I will also provide an update on the extensive remedial works programme we are conducting to address the structural issues identified at Hinchingbrooke, along with other hospitals in Eastern England that were constructed at a similar time in the 1980s.”

To join the meeting, please click on this link just before 6pm on Tuesday 30 November. Those in attendance will be able to use the chat facility to ask questions about the redevelopment programme during the meeting. These will be responded to at the end of the presentation.
