Staff at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust celebrated their achievements last week after successfully completing additional qualifications whilst carrying out their day-to-day job.
The graduation ceremony was held at Peterborough City Hospital on Thursday 24 January and is the first graduation event this year.
Twenty seven members of staff from Peterborough City, Hinchingbrooke and Stamford hospitals were recognised for achieving qualifications, including Maternity, Critical Care and Pharmacy, as well as an Assessor qualification. A large number of new Healthcare Assistants also received their care certificates.
Caroline Walker, Trust Chief Executive, said: “This was my first graduation ceremony as Chief Executive and it was an honour to award staff who have undertaken additional qualifications alongside their working hours. I know how difficult that is and this just demonstrates how committed our staff are to developing their own skills in order to carry out their roles to the highest standard.”
“It will be a pleasure to attend the other two graduation ceremonies later in the year and have the opportunity to once again thank our staff for their continuous hard work and dedication to our hospitals.”
