Last week The North West Anglia Foundation Trust celebrated National Apprenticeship Week.
Sophie Walden a pharmaceutical apprentice got the opportunity to shadow the Assistant Director of Nursing, Ivan Graham for an afternoon. During that time Sophie got to the chance to attend a meeting with Ivan, have a tour of the fourth floor and visit Critical Care and the Emergency Department.
Peterborough City, Hinchingbrooke and Stamford hospital spotlighted a couple of apprentices throughout the week on social media to showcase their skills and why they chose the apprenticeship route.
Sophie Walden said: “I really enjoyed my shadowing experience with Ivan and going round all the different areas that as an apprentice you don’t get to see. As an apprentice you have a mentor who is always there to help and are surrounded by people willing to help and guide you.”
