Tania Wingfield is Sister for the Outpatient services at Doddington and Ely Community Hospitals and has had a long serving career as a Nurse. Tania said: “I started as an Auxiliary Nurse (HCA) at a children’s hospital, then did my training, qualifying in 1976. I spent 3 years working on medical wards before completing a Coronary Care Course. Between 1979 & 2001 I worked in critical care. “I came to Doddington Outpatients in 2004 as a Staff Nurse and am now Sister looking after the two Community Outpatients services at Doddington and Ely. I love the patient contact part of my job endeavouring to provide services in the community, primarily for local people and giving them a good experience on their visit. Team working means that we can provide a service that we are proud of. “Working in the Health Service at the moment is especially challenging but caring for the sick is very rewarding.”
