Following his herculean endeavours in the London Marathon 2018, Matron for Specialist Medicine, David Hardiman was happy to have hit his fundraising target for the British Heart Foundation of £3500. Local patient Alf Hand saw how well he had done, and wanted to match David’s funds as a thank you to David for looking after him so well when he was very poorly at Peterborough City Hospital for a couple of months over Christmas.
David said “Mr Hand made a miraculous recovery, and it is amazing that he wanted to give such a generous thank you, benefiting the British Heart Foundation, which is a charity close to my heart.”
Mr Hand came into the hospital to deliver his cheque for £3500 to double David’s funds for the British Heart Foundation.
