Peterborough City Hospital receives donation to support Carers

Kingsgate Sally Rose with donation

Carers of patients at Peterborough City Hospital will benefit from a kind donation of 40 emergency washbags from Kingsgate Community Church in Peterborough which have been distributed around the wards for use. The washbags were funded by the church and arranged by David Tye.

Sally Rose (former nurse) said: “I am proud my Church arranged this donation, sadly I am no longer able to work as a nurse for health reasons but by contributing in this way it is good to still be able to support those at the hospital.”

Teresa Jude, Carers’ Advisor, said: “We are so grateful for this support from the Church. A simple washbag makes a huge difference; it can enable Carers to stay at the hospital at times of emergency admissions and continue to provide the consistent support needed.”
