Peterborough City Hospital welcomes new babies on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day

New Year’s Day and Christmas Day saw a flurry of activity for Peterborough City Hospitals Maternity Unit as they welcomed the birth of eleven new babies.

A total of nine babies were born at Peterborough City Hospital on Christmas Day in the Maternity Unit.

Two babies were born on New Year’s Day, the first baby, baby Rate was born at 01:40am and the second baby, baby Parr was born at 04:20am.

Fran Stephens, Divisional Head of Midwifery and Nursing said:  “We always look forward to seeing who our New Year babies are; it’s an exciting time for all midwives and families on the ward.”
