Trust appoints new Non-Executive Director to board

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Peterborough City, Hinchingbrooke and Stamford Hospitals, has appointed Dr Christine Hill to join its Board of Directors as a Non-Executive Director.

Christine is a public health physician and has worked in the NHS in the East of England for the past 14 years, mainly in public health and applied health research. Previously, she worked both in the public and private healthcare sectors in the UK and overseas in various roles – as a clinician, senior manager and hospital director. She is an affiliated lecturer in the Department of Public Health and Primary Care at the University of Cambridge where she teaches Health Policy on the MPhil in Public Health.

Trust chairman, Rob Hughes, will formally welcome Christine to the Board at the Trust’s January meeting. He said: “I look forward to working with Christine who joins us at a key time for the organisation. We remain in the midst of responding to the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, yet have our eyes set on recovery and the future of acute healthcare at the same time. Christine’s expertise in public health and health research will be particularly invaluable.”
