International Nurses Day

Tuesday 12 May 2026 is International Nurses Day- an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the fantastic work our nurses across all divisions do and to thank them for their dedication throughout the Trust. 

Registered Nursing and Midwifery Staff make up our largest cohort, with a team of nearly 3000 strong. International Nurses Day is also a chance to say thank you and to recognise the work, achievements and improvements our nurses have led on throughout the Trust.

This year the national theme is 'Our Nurses, Our Future, Empowered Nurses Save Lives'. As part of the day, we are showcasing our nursing colleagues and teams, along with their achievements and improvement projects they have led on throughout the last 12 months.
