Breastfeeding

Infant feeding

We believe that breastfeeding is the healthiest option for both you and your baby, and the hospital operates a breastfeeding policy that supports parents and provides recommendations for breastfeeding in the early days.

The hospital runs antenatal workshops for expectant parents, mum and birth partner or other relatives. The workshops give you all the information you need to be a breastfeeding parent, explaining the benefits and advantages.

Our Infant Feeding Specialist Midwife, Catherine Rai, runs breastfeeding clinics at Hampton and Eye to support mums who have gone home but may need a bit more help and support with breastfeeding.

The clinics are held on Mondays at Hampton Children's Centre and Thursday at Eye Children's Centre from 9am-3pm.

For more details, contact Catherine Rai, Infant Feeding Specialist Midwife on 01733 677219.
