Take a virtual tour of our Maternity department
We know that coming into hospital can be daunting. The maternity team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation held two Facebook Lives which gave women the opportunity to see their our maternity unit from an antenatal perspective and what to expect when coming in to give birth, e.g. what services we offer, the rooms and support that's available.
The virtual tour for Peterborough City Hospital was held on the 26 November and you can watch the tour here.
The tour started off in the antenatal department where you got to see how changes have been made to implement national guidance with social distancing, the scanning rooms and some of the staff who you may see when you visit. From the antenatal department, women were shown the route on how to go to level one where our maternity unit is based and then talked through the process of booking in and what to expect on arrival. You then got to see Maternity Inpatients and Delivery Suite and the rooms where you would potentially be to labour before moving onto the Transitional Care Unit.
