Trust Projects

Projects web page

We have a series of exciting projects that aim to improve patient experience currently under way on our three main hospital sites. These include:

Stamford Hospital site development:

Following a successful redevelopment programme in 2017, the Trust considered options for the West End of the site and identified areas which are surplus to current and future needs. This land is being sold for redevelopment. For more information on how this will impact the site please access the page via the image below.

Hinchingbrooke Hospital redevelopment programme:

We have a three-phase approach to redeveloping our hospital/

Phase 1 - This was completed in December 2020 and has delivered new urgent and emergency care facilities, including a new Ambulatory Care Unit and an expanded Acute Assessment Unit, plus improved facilities in the Emergency Department that affords our patients greater privacy.

Phase 2  - Plans to create a new, purpose-built operating theatres block located between the main hospital site and the Treatment Centre are well under way following national approval of our Outline Business Case. For more information please access the page via the image below.

Phase 3 - This is a longer-term programme of work which aims to rebuild remaining parts of our hospital by 2035.

Peterborough City Hospital Urgent and Emergency Care reconfiguration:

Reconfiguration work to our Urgent and Emergency Care facilities at Peterborough City Hospital is now complete. This has involved the relocation of the Peterborough Urgent Treatment Centre to the Peterborough City Hospital site which opened on 1 July 2021.
