Your new referral - appointment waiting times

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is fully committed to reducing the time between you being referred to us by your GP to when you start your treatment with us. The Coronavirus pandemic has certainly impacted on our waiting times, however other factors may mean that your waiting time could vary, such as: your clinical urgency, your condition, the type of treatment or choosing to wait for a specific consultant.  

Your responsibilities when referred:

There are things that you can do to help us work most effectively, and to ensure resources are used responsibly. To ensure we provide you and all our patients with the best treatment and care possible, you have a part to play. We ask that you:

• turn up on time for you appointment

• let us know as soon as possible if you cannot attend an appointment, or you will be referred back to the care of your GP

Appointments are limited and therefore we carefully plan to make the most of every available slot, so by cancelling early (if you need to) you help us to offer your appointment to someone else who needs it.
