The Children’s Outpatients Department provides a range of child and family service, including general paediatric clinics and rapid access clinics.
Specialist clinics run by our paediatricians are held for:
- Asthma and respiratory medicine
- Cardiology
- Diabetes
- Growth and endocrinology
- Epilepsy
- Neurology
- Newborn and premature infants
- Renal
- Gastroenterology
- Allergy
Joint clinics are also held with specialists for:
- Cardiology, Specialist from Great Ormond Street Hospital
- Diabetes in Adolescents, Specialist from Adult Diabetes Team
- Neurology, Specialist form Addenbrookes Hospital
- Renal, Specialist from Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham
- Endocrine
- Coeliac
Visiting Consultants clinics:
- Urology, Specialist from Addenbrooke's Hospital
- Genetics
- Community Paediatrician for children with complex needs
- Safeguarding
Other clinics on site include:
- Physiotherapy
- Phlebotomy for patients under 6 years old and those with special needs
Our staff
The service is staffed by a team of experienced registered sick children’s nurses who are supported by a number of health-care support workers. There is a specialist hospital play team. The medical team is led by an experienced group of Consultant Paediatricians who have diverse skills and expertise.
