Our priority has been to improve capacity, reduce anxiety for patients and visitors and fairer charges, whereby all patients and visitors are asked to contribute to the parking operating charges.
The Trust has also increased the number of disabled parking spaces for blue badge holders in our main car park to 24. There are also an additional 12 spaces created in the spring of 2022 outside the main entrance and 22 disabled spaces conveniently located in drop-off areas around the hospital, whilst these spaces are not chargeable, they are limited to 1 hour parking. Parking for motorcycles is free.
At Hinchingbrooke Hospital we endeavour to ensure that there are adequate parking facilities on site, but spaces are limited and therefore cannot be guaranteed. Where possible, we encourage the use of public transport.

Small Increase To Hospital Parking Charges
Parking at Peterborough City and Hinchingbrooke Hospitals is set to increase for patients and visitors from Monday, 7 August 2023.
The first 30 minutes will remain free of charge on both sites, but there will be a minimal increase of 20 pence to costs after that. Patient parking will stay below the average cost for other NHS Hospitals and still lower than average when comparing us against other organisations, even after last year’s price increase.
