
Welcome to Women's Health at North West Anglia. This is our online guide to all of our women's services across our Peterborough, Stamford, Doddington, Ely and Hinchingbrooke hospitals.
Services in Peterborough are based in the Women's Health Outpatients in the Woman and Child Unit.
​Services at Hinchingbrooke are based in Lily, within the Treatment Centre.
The Gynaecology Service is a Consultant-led service for elective inpatient and day case procedures.
Elective procedures are performed at Peterborough City, Stamford and Hinchingbrooke Hospitals, with Peterborough being able to offer a women's health inpatient ward.
The nursing team work across all areas of Gynaecology and have a broad understanding of all Gynaecology services.
The service has a Matron who focuses on quality issues for the service which include infection control and standards for cleanliness.

• Cancers of the female reproductive tract • Dysmenorrhoea – painful periods • Menorrhagia – heavy periods • Post menopausal bleeding • Post coital bleeding – bleeding after sex • Polyps • Infertility • Prolapse • Incontinence • Lichen Sclerosis • Infections • Cervical, vaginal and vulval abnormalities • Early pregnancy problems • Early pregnancy bleeding • Endometriosis • Polycystic ovaries |
