Women's Health Services

Welcome to Women's Health at North West Anglia. This is our online guide to all of our women's services across our Peterborough, Stamford, Doddington, Ely and Hinchingbrooke hospitals.

Services in Peterborough are based in the Women's Health Outpatients in the Woman and Child Unit.

Services at Hinchingbrooke are based in Lily, within the Treatment Centre.

Our inpatient service

The Gynaecology Service  is a Consultant-led service for elective inpatient and day case procedures.

Elective procedures are performed at Peterborough City, Stamford and Hinchingbrooke Hospitals, with Peterborough being able to offer a women's health inpatient ward.

The nursing team work across all areas of Gynaecology and have a broad understanding of all Gynaecology services.

The service has a Matron who focuses on quality issues for the service which include infection control and standards for cleanliness.

Our outpatient service

The gynaecology services diagnose and treat a range of disorders affecting the female reproductive organs. We offer general gynaecological advice and treatment as well as physiotherapy and a range of specialist services.

The department is based in the Women's and Children's Unit of Peterborough City Hospital.  The unit has its own entrance, separate to the main hospital entrance.  This is next to car park D.

There is a cafe and shop in the entrance atrium, along with vending machines.
