The Finance team that works so diligently behind the scenes in our Trust has been shortlisted in three separate categories in the Healthcare Financial Management Association Eastern Branch Awards 2026.

The Finance and Analytics Team has been nominated for Finance Team of the Year, for consistently delivering exceptional results, transforming internal processes, leading systemwide learning and development events and remaining positive, innovative and deeply supportive of clinical services.

Divisional Head of Finance, Tracey Shepherd, has been nominated for Team Player of the Year for supporting multiple clinical divisions, stepping up to cover wider financial management responsibilities and leading key projects. Her expertise, leadership, kindness and commitment to developing others demonstrate her dedication to strengthening the whole finance community.

Finally, the Financial Management Team has been nominated for the Innovation award for transforming the month-end process by implementing innovative, smarter ways of working. Their changes have freed up time for deeper insight, improved forecasting and embedded a culture of continuous improvement that is now being shared across the local system.

Joel Harrison, Chief Finance Officer, said, “I am so pleased to hear that our team's hard work and commitment is being acknowledged by these awards. Congratulations to them all on their shortlisted nominations. We wish them luck and a great evening celebrating their achievements”.

The nominees will be attending the Healthcare Financial Management Association Eastern Branch Awards 2026 ceremony held at a gala dinner on Tuesday 24 February 2026.
