Huge congratulations to our amazing Lead Falls Nurse, Teresa Stratton, who was presented by Chief Nurse Jo Bennis with her Long Service Award for an incredible 45 years' service!
Teresa began her nursing journey in 1981 - the year Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer were married, and IBM introduced the first Personal Computer (PC)!
She qualified in 1984 and took up her first role as a Nurse at Fenland House (where now stands the City Care Centre), working there for 15 years. In 2000, Teresa transitioned to the Intensive Therapy Unit and continued in this highly demanding role for 12 years.
In 2013, Teresa accepted a secondment opportunity as a Falls Nurse, quickly showing her positive attitude, leadership qualities and ability to influence positive change, allowing her to progress to her current role as Falls Lead Nurse when the position became permanent in 2014.
A much-loved member of the team, with a lifelong dedication to patient care and safety - thank you, Teresa, for your commitment and work, which has a transformative impact on patient safety and the quality of care within the Trust!
