The countdown is well and truly on for Peterborough City Hospital's funky summer fundraiser! 

Dozens of local thrill seekers (including hospital staff) have already signed up for the Big Boogie Bounce this month. However, there is now also the opportunity to take part in an abseil if bungee isn't your thing.

The 80s-disco-themed challenge is being organised by North West Anglia Hospitals' Charity, which raises funds to enhance patient, staff and visitor experience in Peterborough, Huntingdon and Stamford.

But hurry, places are filling up fast and there are only a few days left to secure your place. 

Those with a head for heights can sign up for the 165ft bungee jump or abseil on Sunday 28 June, as part of the weekend's Community Festival hosted by the City of Peterborough Sports Club in Bretton Gate (next to the Peterborough City Hospital campus).

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust Hospitals' Charity Project Manager Philip Fearn said: “We've already ha d some amazing support and interest from our staff and have extended the invitation to member s of the public - but hurry, as places are limited.

“The money raised will help us continue enhancing our hospitals - improving patient experience and supporting the wellbeing of our fabulous colleagues.”

The event is being sponsored by Progress Health and participants (who must be aged 18 and over) are asked to raise a minimum of £165.

 

There will be prizes for: best disco‑themed outfit, highest fundraiser, and of course, the most outrageous dance moves in our Disco Warm‑Up Zone — so expect funky beats, big hair energy, and a whole lot of “don't stop the boogie” spirit.
