If you are looking for a challenge to throw yourself into this Spring (quite literally!) then how about signing up for Peterborough City Hospital's Big Boogie Bungee?
The 80s-disco-themed funky challenge is being organised by North West Anglia Hospitals' Charity, which raises funds to enhance patient, staff and visitor experience in Peterborough, Huntingdon and Stamford.
Those with a head for heights can sign up for the 165ft bungee jump taking place over the weekend of Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June, as part of the Community Festival hosted by the City of Peterborough Sports Club in Bretton Gate (next to the Peterborough City Hospital campus).
North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust Hospitals' Charity Project Manager Philip Fearn said: “The Big Boogie Bungee follows on from the very successful hospital building abseil we staged a couple of years ago.
“We've already ha d some amazing support from our staff, and we are extending the invitation to member s of the public - but hurry, as places are limited.
“The money raised will help us continue enhancing our hospitals - improving patient experience and supporting the wellbeing of our fabulous colleagues.”
The event is being sponsored by Progress Health and participants (who must be aged 18 and over) are asked to raise a minimum of £165.
There will be prizes for: best disco‑themed outfit, highest fundraiser, and of course, the most outrageous dance moves in our Disco Warm‑Up Zone — so expect funky beats, big hair energy, and a whole lot of “don't stop the boogie” spirit.
Places are limited so secure your spot by emailing donna.erskine-white@nhs.net .
Boogie Jumpers must be 18+ and restrictions apply - full details will be sent in the fundraising pack.
