Girl power ready to step out to boost cancer charity funds

Lending their support to raising funds for cancer research, a team of hospital staff are preparing to step out for Stamford's Race for Life.

Formed through the Women's Network, the team is looking to grow its numbers by appealing to North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust staff - past and present - to join those who have already signed up.

The team is aiming to raise at least £700 in support if Cancer Research UK by taking part in the Race for Life at Burghley Park later this month.

Kim Jones, Transformation Support Officer at the Trust, said: “The Women's Network is all about supporting one another, and taking part in Race for Life is a fantastic opportunity to do that while contributing to an important cause.

“By completing a 5K run or walk together, we hope to raise funds that will support cancer research, treatment, and services for people affected by cancer across the UK. It is also a great way to promote wellbeing, teamwork, and a positive culture within the Trust.”
