National Maternity & Neonatal Investigation - your experience matters

Following the release of the Baroness Amos Interim Report from the National Maternity & Neonatal Investigation, we understand this may be a may be worrying, upsetting, or difficult to read for many families. We, in collaboration with our Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP), want to acknowledge the emotional impact this report may have, especially for those who have experienced a pregnancy or neonatal loss, concerns about their pregnancy care, or distress during their maternity or neonatal journey.

Your feelings are valid and your experience matters

The interim report reflects the voices of many families across England who have spoken up in the hope of improving maternity and neonatal care for everyone. We recognise that reading about these can create uncertainty, frustration, or painful memories. If you have any concerns about your maternity or neonatal care, please contact your midwife or our Maternity Helpline on 01733 677266 and we can advise and support you.

The review is still open

If you would like to share your own experience, the public Call for Evidence remains open until the 17th of March 2026. You can contribute here.
Your voice can help shape future improvements and ensure families are truly heard.
