Team NWAngliaFT's achievements

We are very proud of the achievements of our staff and volunteers and it is important to us to celebrate them. There are many examples of how colleagues have gone the extra mile to ensure they provide outstanding care to our patients.

Here are some examples of how staff from across the Trust are being recognised for their talent and skills, outside of our internal award schemes:

Trust awarded Preceptorship Programme of the Year

The Trust has been awarded Preceptorship Programme of the Year by Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Integrated Care System.

The conference, organised by Cambridgeshire and Peterborough ICS, is the first  to be held for Allied Health Professionals and showcased a number of speakers and presentations across other Trusts within the ICS.

Preceptorship is a period of structured support for newly registered staff. The main aim is to welcome and integrate the newly registered individuals into their new team and place of work.

The preceptorship team and their award

As part of national guidance the Trust appointed a Preceptorship Lead to oversee the service and created a new programme based on feedback.

Jo Bennis, Chief Nurse for the Trust said: “I am really proud of our Preceptorship Team for the work that they have done over the past year. They have worked tirelessly to come up with and bring in a framework for preceptorship which suitably supports the learning and progression of all Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals within the Trust.”

The Preceptorship Programme gives staff restorative clinical supervison, introduction to coaching and introduction to quality improvement.  Since the launch of the programme, Allied Health Professionals have felt more supported and received guidance.
