Thrill seekers took their fundraising to new heights for Peterborough City Hospital's funky summer charity challenge.
The 80s-disco-themed Big Boogie Bungee and Abseil was organised by North West Anglia Hospitals' Charity, which raises funds to enhance patient, staff and visitor experience in Peterborough, Huntingdon and Stamford.
The unforgettable day of fun and fundraising saw around 75 brave staff, volunteers and members of the public take the 165ft leap - including at least one hospital doctor who used his shift break to take the plunge.
Whilst the Charity continues to process donations, fundraisers have been invited to keep their online support pages open - and a final total is expected in the coming weeks.
North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust Hospitals' Charity Project Manager Philip Fearn said: “A huge thank you to everyone who jumped, cheered, volunteered, organised and supported us - and helped to make the day a truly brilliant success.
“We're incredibly grateful to the City of Peterborough Sports Club for welcoming us as part of their fantastic weekend festival and for supporting the charity throughout the weekend.
A massive thank you also goes to the brilliant teams at Big Bang Experiences and the UK Bungee Club, whose professionalism and expertise ensured the event ran safely and smoothly from start to finish.
“Special thanks to our Trust's Executive Director of People, Tanise Brown, for taking on the abseil and showing her support, and an extra special mention to TB Administrator, Lee White, who took his bungee jump to the next level by doing it dressed as our Lion mascot!”
