Staff and volunteers from Peterborough, Hinchingbrooke and Stamford & Rutland hospitals have been honoured for their dedication and going the extra mile for patients, their families and fellow colleagues.
Emotive stories of incredible patient care, powerful testimonials, creative examples of partnership and collaborative working, and a showcase of lifetime service to patients played out at the recent Outstanding Achievement Awards evening.
Winners from across North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust were celebrated at the ceremony at Peterborough Cathedral.
Gongs were presented to individuals and teams who have developed and delivered service improvements across the Trust. Others have been honoured for their care and compassion or recognised for their lifetime contribution to healthcare.
Around 300 members of staff, volunteers and specials guests were invited to the awards ceremony, hosted by BBC Radio Cambridgeshire presenter Chris Mann.
Nominees and winners on the night all received personal thanks from members of the Trust's Board of Directors, including Chief Executive Officer Hannah Coffey and Trust Chair Professor Steve Barnett.
Awards were presented in a number of categories, including Team of the Year, Lifetime Contribution to Healthcare, Outstanding Individual of the Year and Volunteer of the Year - as well as the publicly-nominated Health Hero Award.
There was also special Chief Executive Officer recognition award - with the recipient personally chosen by CEO Hannah Coffey.
Many of the awards reflected the challenges individuals and teams rose to over the course of the last 12 months.
Trust Chief Executive Officer, Hannah Coffey, said: “I'm incredibly proud of our outstanding staff. The quality of the nominations across a wide variety of categories has been truly remarkable and it was fantastic to celebrate such great achievements.
“It always feels very special to honour our staff in such a magnificent setting and I would like to thank all our nominees and winners for the dedication and care they provide to our patients and each other.”
Special thanks also to the event sponsors; Progress Health & Prospect Healthcare, EY, Hunter Healthcare, WSP, Apex Group, CK4, Construct, CF, Metropolis Planning and North West Anglia Hospitals' Charity.
Zoe Glover, Managing Director of Vercity Group, which runs Progress Health & Prospect Healthcare, said: “We are proud to once again be a headline sponsor of the Outstanding Achievement Awards.
“The inspiring event celebrates individuals who consistently go above and beyond to deliver exceptional patient care, often during challenging times. Having attended in previous years, we've seen first hand the powerful testimonials share - each one a testament to the unwavering dedication, professionalism, and compassion of the North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust staff in making the patient journey as smooth and supportive as possible.
