With award season in full swing, it's time to shine the light on our incredible Community Team Leader Midwives — the winners of this month's team Star Award! 

The team have supported the wider community midwife teams across our sites to achieve 100% face to face bookings —  which is a huge achievement — and has gone the extra mile to improve the scope and quality of the care they provide. Their efforts have also been recognised by the Maternity Voice Partnership committee who support, feed back to and act as a voice for women in the community.

Under their leadership, the whole team is feeling really engaged and motivated, and are attracting newly qualified midwives to work a hybrid model of working — both in community and in the delivery unit, which can improve continuity for those giving birth. 

As well as managing their many other daily management tasks, the leaders also go above and beyond to support staff and allocate time for students to spend with their mentors. The job scope is wide and varies drastically from day-to-day. 

Even in challenging times, the Team leaders have pulled together to ensure a safe service for women and families in our communities.
