Next week the Heart Failure Team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust will be presenting at the Trust’s Members’ Meeting to raise awareness of Heart Failure and tell attendees what to look out for and how to better control their health.
The MS Teams meeting will take place on Tuesday 23 July at 5pm. Members of the public can join using this link.
UPDATE: If you missed the meeting, please find the recording of the meeting here.
Kathy Simmonds, Lead Heart Failure Nurse, will be talking to attendees about what heart failure really means. She said: “It sounds quite frightening, but the early signs are things we can treat and manage well.”
The Heart Failure team is one of seven pilot sites in the UK to be taking part in the British Society for Heart Failure community programme to detect heart failure sooner and reduce deaths.
Kathy will be taking questions at the end of the presentation, and the meeting will be recorded for anyone unable to attend.
Ahead of that the Council of Governors meeting for the Trust will meet at Peterborough City Hospital this week on Thursday 18 July from 1.30pm to 3.45pm in the Denis Bracey Room, which is in the Learning Centre on the fourth floor.
Members of the public are invited to attend the meeting to see how the Governors are involved in the running of their local hospitals. The meeting will involve the Governors receiving updates on each of our Trust hospitals, along with Assurance and Governance updates for the Trust.
Questions on the subject of Heart Failure or relating to the agenda items for the Council of Governors meeting can be sent in advance of the meetings to nwangliaft.trustboard@nhs.net. Please ensure these are received for the Council of Governors meeting by Wednesday 17 July at 9pm and for the Members’ meeting by Sunday 21 July at 9pm.
