Our Trust has welcomed eight new Governors to represent patients and the communities it serves following an election process held over the summer.
Professor Steve Barnett, OBE, Chair of North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, officially welcomed the new recruits to the Council of Governors at its meeting held in public on Monday 20 October at Hinchingbrooke Hospital.
The role of a Governor is to work with the Trust to ensure its hospitals are run appropriately for the needs of the communities they serve.
Prof Barnett said: “I am delighted to welcome our new Governors who will play an important role in ensuring we can involve more patients and community members in the way we run our hospitals.”
Our new Governors are:
Greater Peterborough constituency
Huntingdon constituency
Stamford and South Lincolnshire constituency
They join the existing members of the Council of Governors, which meets in public four times a year.
